Luis Candaudap
HUNTING LAWS
November 30th, 2012 - February 10th, 2013
 This is the first and most complete retrospective of this painter’s work that has been assembled to date by a public institution and reviews the work of Luis Candaudap (Bilbao, 1964) from the nineties to the current moment. Composed by more than 50 works, oils, acrylics, drawings and films will be displayed at the gallery. It will also be presented a sample of the bank of images used in the processes, together with sketchbooks elaborated through the years. At the same time, the exhibition will be completed with the film projects from the late 80’s that explain the cinematographic origins of his pictorial speech.

Joseba Eskubi
INSOMNIA
November 13th, 2012 - January 13th, 2013Sala Rekalde presents an exhibition by the painter Joseba Eskubi (Bilbao, 1967), bringing together recently produced works in small format grouped together under the title of Insomnia. They are all direct interventions upon reproductions of classic paintings that the artist distorts through the introduction of breaks, trickles and creases.

June Crespo
AMATISTA
January 15th - February 24th, 2013Artist June Crespo (Pamplona 1982) presents a series of recent sculptures made with plaster, steel rods and graphic materials under the name AMATISTA. The works emerge from an affective-associative gesture applied to collected materials, until they eventually stand as columns or structures on a human scale.

February 22nd - May 05th, 2013Sala Rekalde, in collaboration with FRAC Aquitaine, presents the group exhibition Rethink the world. The thirteen artists on show visit the reality, think about it and transform it so that the viewer can reflect upon his or her own behaviour. With the support of the GECT Euroregion Aquitaine-Euskadi.

OpenLab Orbea + CoCreable
February 14th, from 9.00 a.m. till 7 p.m. Sala Rekalde hosts one of the OpenLabs organised by Improbable Connections. One of the five projects currently underway in its 2012-2013 edition brings together Orbea, and CoCreable. As part of their collaboration process they organise an OpenLab that will focus on the challenges people face every day to help them choose the bike most suited to their needs. Will you join them?
