Alfredo Alcain

The exhibition provides an overview of the work of Alfredo Alcain (Madrid, 1936) from the late 60s to the current moment. Founded by much of the graphic work that was exhibited in early 2012 in the Museo Casa de la Moneda of Madrid under the title Miradas en papel, is now completed with a very significant series of paintings and sculptures, in order to contextualize his artistic practice. Last week to visit the exhibition.

October 09th - November 11th, 2012research by walking is a curatorial project developed by Alba Colomo during her residency at the Het Wilde Weten (HWW) in Rotterdam, thanks to the Grant of Sala Rekalde in 2012. The exhibition shows the material used by the curator during the research process together with the work of the artists Iratxe Jaio & Klaas van Gorkum, Kim Bouvy and the collective Left Hand Rotation. Last week-end to visit the exhibition.

Luis Candaudap
HUNTING LAWS
November 30th, 2012 - February 10th, 2013The exhibition reviews the work of Luis Candaudap (Bilbao, 1964) from the nineties to the current moment. Composed by more than 50 works, oils, acrylics, drawings and films will be displayed at the gallery. It will also be presented a sample of the bank of images used in the processes, together with sketchbooks elaborated through the years. At the same time, the exhibition will be completed with the film projects from the late 80s that explain the cinematographic origins of his pictorial speech.

Joseba Eskubi
INSOMNIA
November 13th, 2012 - January 13th, 2013Sala Rekalde presents an exhibition by painter Joseba Eskubi (Bilbao, 1967), bringing together recently produced works in small format grouped together under the title of Insomnia. They are all direct interventions upon reproductions of classic paintings that the artist distorts through the introduction of breaks, trickles and creases.
